Designing A Business Card
My experience with the "Help Me Howard" segment was wonderful. Mr. Thompson and Caroline both followed up to confirm the postcards were correct and that I didn't receive a hard time. A news crew did come to the event and filmed my husband speaking about the injury he received while serving in Iraq. And though he has not yet received the level of disability funds he is entitled to nor the Purple Heart the exposure was wonderful for soldiers everywhere.

The picture I chose was a photograph of King Ludwig's castle I took while on a trip through Austria. This is the famous castle Walt Disney used as a model for his Disneyland Castle. The Print came out beautiful and I mounted, textured and sprayed it with clear lacquer. I planned to enter it into a photography contest as soon as I had enough to satisfy the rules.
My design was this: The front images were an out of focus picture of Washington DC, and soldier on a plane. (These were blurring on purpose.)In the center was my husband's name, event date and the military issued Purple Heart, in focus. The back was a custom non-military Purple Heart, with info and lines to write on, because it's a postcard.

This was an event trying to get David the Purple Heart, and the image was not even on the card. The custom heart was slapped on the front, info on the back and the lines to write on were going vertically as opposed to horizontally.
