Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on the 7 7 of December 1973, to Mr. and Mrs. Tim Oyakhilome, as the first child of the family. Following his primary and secondary schooling, he enrolled in Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria where he obtained the BSc in Architecture.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his ministry journey while still at AAU. The Believers' LoveWorld Fellowship was at the time known as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC rapidly grew and eventually became the largest campus group. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy.
