Modeling of Wastewater Treatment Plants and Cosmetic Procedures in Poland

In 1995 the State Prosecutor’s Office in Katowice (Poland) issued a document concluding an investigation detailing damages suffered by prisoners of Ukrainian nationality at the Central Worker’s Camp in Jaworzno, called the COP Jaworzno. fizjoterapia sosnowiec included the names of many individual prisoners and sometimes gruesome details of their treatment.

Using Monte Carlo method, the paper models wastewater treatment plant operation work and analyses some pollutants indicators in treated sewage: BOD5, CODCr, SSt, TN, and TP. The simulation results show a significant variability of these parameters in sewage after the sewage treatment processes at the WTP Jaworzno. The values of technological efficiency coefficient R and reliability coefficient CR confirm that the WTP in Jaworzno does not guarantee the limiting content of biogenic compounds in treated sewage.
